Manage suggestions for hiding inactive channels in Microsoft Teams

The Microsoft Teams application has a feature that periodically suggests Team Members to hide channels that they're not active in. This feature is on by default, but you can change your preferences by following the steps below.

Note - Changing this setting will not automatically hide or unhide channels. Team Members can learn how to manage channel visibility in Microsoft Teams here - Show, hide, or favorite a channel in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support.

Expand the Microsoft Teams application menu by selecting the three dots (...) from the top toolbar.
Select Settingsto open the application settings.
Select Chats and channels from the Settings navigation bar.
Scroll down to the Suggestions for hiding inactive channels section and select the toggle to either enable or disable the feature.
Optional - You can select the Get suggestions now button to view a list of channels that Microsoft recommends hiding and take your desired action.
